Your first week in the portal

Getting started5 min read

You hit “Continue with email,” typed your address, and a one-time code opened the portal. Now what? Here’s what the first week tends to look like — hedged, because every file is its own case. No score promises, no fixed timeline.

Day one — the OTP login

The OTP (one-time passcode) is the same secure door new and returning users walk through. No password to forget, no separate app to install. The code goes to your email; you enter it; the portal opens. If the code is slow to arrive, the email is the first place to check (including spam and promotions folders).

First look — your file in one view

The report pulls into one clear layout: accounts, statuses, balances, and inquiries. AI-assisted flags are surfaced as starting points — possible duplicates, odd dates, balances that don’t match. Those are not legal conclusions and not promises that something will come off. They’re prompts to look closer.

  • Trade-lines: each account’s story as reported.
  • Statuses: charged-off, collection, late — plain language.
  • Inquiries: who pulled the file, and when.
  • Flags: review prompts, not verdicts.

The first dispute — if the file supports it

If something looks off, you decide whether to dispute. When you do, a draft is filed with a paper trail and the federal clock starts (typically 30 days, sometimes +15 if you add information mid-investigation — see our walk-through of the FCRA clocks). The reply is logged in the same place — including the ones that come back “verified.”

Nothing on this site is a deletion promise. The portal shows you process and file truth — what was filed, what came back, what happens next.

How to reach a human

Real people, real channels — no callback bots. Pick whichever feels easiest. None of them are the only path; the portal keeps working while you talk.

A note on hardship

If this first week overlaps with a tight month or a bigger squeeze, that doesn’t disqualify you. Say so early — by call or text — and the team can talk through what fits. The plan is confirmed in your portal before any charges; the marketing site never charges.

The first week is mostly about seeing clearly. From there, the path is yours to walk at your pace. When (and whether) to take the next step is always your call.
